The Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort has been successfully running the programme since 2006. Many of the graduates have continued onto employment in the hospitality sector whilst others have utlised the skills they have learnt to follow new career paths.

 
 
Case Study 1

Craig Woolley graduated in 2006. When he had started the programme he had just finished high school and was unsure what job he wanted to pursue. On finishing YCI Craig applied for a position in the Laundry department which he was offered and happily accepted. Later in 2006 Craig took part in the Special Olympics at which he won a gold medal for the sport of Bocci, he has now been selected for the Australia team and will be visiting Beijing this year.
