GOVERNANCE
A local governance framework exists to guide and manage the delivery of the Youth Career Initiative programme in the local markets where it operates.
This governance framework consists of:

Youth Career Council - comprising the General Managers of participating hotels and directors of key partner organisations who typically meet twice a year, in order to provide strategic direction and decide on matters affecting the growth and sustainability of the in-country programme; and
-
Operations Committee - made up of human resource directors / training managers of participating hotels and senior representatives of key partner organisations who typically meet every two months, in order to oversee the operation of the programme in compliance with the YCI core standards.
INTERNATIONAL TOURISM PARTNERSHIP (ITP)
The International Tourism Partnership is a unique industry body that brings together many of the leading hospitality groups globally, specifically for the purpose of developing practical responses to environmental and social responsibility.
The Youth Career Initiative is one of the flagship programmes of the International Tourism Partnership, and the YCI Global Team provides regular updates on progress to the ITP membership through their formal meetings. Members of the International Tourism Partnership are automatically entitled to participate in the Youth Career Initiative.

YOUTH CAREER INITIATIVE GLOBAL TEAM
The development of the YCI programme globally is the responsibility of the YCI Global Team, based at International Business Leaders Forum’s headquarters in London.
The YCI Global Team:
- Owns the YCI brand, curriculum and core standards
- Sets the overall strategy and direction for the programme
- Focuses on fundraising, communications and operational frameworks to support each country programme
- Invests significant time and resources into developing the relationships ‘on the ground’ that are necessary to establish new country programmes
